AGBU Pasadena-Glendale Hosts Armenian Fest 2015 on September 5-6, 2015

As the summer winds down, preparations for the AGBU’s Pasadena-Glendale Chapter Armenian Fest is heating up. This year’s Labor Day weekend event will be a two-day program at the AGBU Vatche & Tamar Manoukian Center in Pasadena, taking place on Saturday and Sunday, September 5 – 6, 2015 from 11am to 11pm. The AGBU San Fernando Valley Chapter and both AGBU schools have partnered with the AGBU Pasadena Glendale Chapter’s associations and committees to ensure a successful and memorable affair. The two-day event will be highlighted by live concerts, movie screenings, as well as a sports tournaments, allowing families to connect and interact socially while giving the kids a chance to participate in sports activities, games and jumpers throughout the weekend.

With a full schedule of events planned for both days, attendees will be able to enjoy a wide range of fun games and activities, such as Tavloo, Blot competitions, Scrabble and more. Plus, there will be lots of great food and delicious drinks available, as well as music and entertainment by Gor Mkitarian and Band, Zaven Batanian and the Arizona Duo featuring Peter Gharibian and Levon Zarasian from AGBU Arizona Chapter. The AGBU Performing Arts Department will be screening a new documentary named “Armenia Sings in Our Hearts” to be screened on Saturday night.  Fellowship Hall, the Gym and the Bardez area will all be used to host Armenian Fest.

As the kids play, the adults will enjoy socializing under covered tents outdoors.  Needless to say, a family friendly environment and vibrant atmosphere will be present with entertainment for the whole family, allowing everyone a chance to make new friends, relax, un-wind and have a really good time.

According to Hrant S. Vartzbedian, AGBU Pasadena-Glendale Chapter Board Chairman, “We couldn’t be more excited about our upcoming Armenian Fest.  We are all a family here at AGBU. A family where fun and Armenian culture will be on full display, which will further strengthen our bonds and uphold our heritage.”
