The AGBU Hye Geen Pregnant Women’s Centers in Armenia have continued their work even under the recent challenging conditions. To date, they have welcomed 4,626 newborns. Today in Artsakh, women and pregnant women are facing a sharp increase in the number of newborn abnormalities and deaths, abortions, abandonment of newborns and financial and social hardship as a result of the 2020 War in Artsakh. Hye Geen Committee voted to respond to the emergency situation in Armenia by opening a 6th Center for Pregnant Women in the Children’s Hospital of Stepanakert. Learn more here.
